If the cast of The Rocky Horror Show can put out so much energy for a media event as
they did on Thursday then the audience is in for a treat on opening night.
The cast fully made up and costumed blasted its way through The Timewarp and Sweet Transvestite - twice. It gave the press a good look at how well Adam Rennie has taken to the role of Frank-N-Furter since he was rushed into the lead from understudy last week.
“It was a shock”, he said, “but I have always wanted to play the part, so it was good feeling too.”
Amanda Harrison who plays Magenta, agreed about the shock. “But the cast came together and worked hard to adjust. We were all a bit scared on the first night, but the audience was terrific and gave us a great boost.
“We are hoping for the same in Brisbane.”
I’m sure they will get it.
