New Farm Nash Theatre auditions
New Farm Nash Theatre is auditioning for The Memory Of Water By Shelagh Stephenson, directed by Sharon White on Sat 30th July 10 am to 1 pm.
Cast required
VI – female (32)
The mother of the three sisters, she appears as she was in 1962 at the age of 32
TERESA – female (44)
The eldest sister feels she is the one who has had to keep the family together, has taken on the responsibly of looking after their mother when she deteriorated in to Alzheimer’s and has organized the funeral. She feels both resentful and protective of her sisters.
MARY – female (40)
The middle sister and a doctor, she had a child when she was 14 who she gave up and her life revolves around creating a memory of him. She had been having an affair with a married doctor for 5 years.
CATHERINE – female (36)
The youngest sister, she is unlucky in love and has always felt she was left out by her sisters. She is fairly self-absorbed has a lively imagination and appears to have a limited attention span. She smokes marijuana an drinks and is the most lively of the three sisters
MIKE – male (40)
The doctor Mary has been having an affair with. He has told her his wife is an invalid but she is in fact in perfect health. His relationship with Mary is a strained one.
FRANK – male (45)
Teresa’s husband, he responded to a singles ad placed by Teresa but too late they both realized that neither is as they described themselves. They run a vitamin supplements company but Frank wants to give it up and run a pub.

Venue
The Play Shed next to the car park behind Merthyr Road Uniting Church, 52 Merthyr Road, New Farm. Access is via the path next to the church or via Amity Street.
